September was yet another crazy month. I started my very last semester of college while working full-time at my “big-girl job.” I’ve been commuting to Whitewater twice a week and driving to Madison every day for work, while doing photoshoots and nannying on weekends. Whew. Makes me tired just writing that. Here’s what I was loving in September:
Miscellaneous
- The Subtle Art of Not Giving A F*ck. I haven’t finished this book yet but so far it’s pretty awesome. Basically this book is about how to care about the things that really matter and let everything else go in order to live your best life.
- Pumpkin Spice Latte. This might make me basic, but this drink is soooo good. And it makes me feel festive AF.
- Weaving. In one of my last favorites posts I mentioned how I’m obsessed with woven wall hangings. On a recent trip to Walmart, I found a weaving kit! It came with a wooden loom and instructions on tons of different weaving techniques. I dove right in and am almost done with my first weaving. It is so fun and relaxing and I love the finished product.
- Canon 7D Mark ii: I finally got a new camera! For a few years, I’ve been using my mom’s Canon 7D for photoshoots. My camera was pretty basic and had a few issues, and I loved that hers could do so much more. With my photography busy season starting, I thought it would be the perfect time to invest in my business. I haven’t had my camera for long but I am seriously in love with it.
Clothing
- Striped flowy pants. I got the cutest flowy striped pants from Urban Outfitters before our cruise and I’ve worn them like 100 times. They’re so comfortable and flattering even when you have a food baby.
- Target Jeans. If you know me, you know I hate hate hate wearing jeans. I never wear them. With my new job, we can wear jeans every Friday, so I thought it was time to get a pair. I got a few pairs from Target and not only were they inexpensive, they are super stretchy and comfortable! I might start wearing jeans more….maybe.
- Long Cardigans. I have uncharacteristically been wearing dresses lately. The office I work in is always freezing so every day I’ve been throwing on a long cardigan sweater. They keep me warm and make a casual dress look more polished.
Beauty
- Ciate London Liquid Lipstick. I am obsessed with lip products and I love trying out new brands. This applies so smooth and stays on all day!
- Korres Gold Elixer. Another favorite out of my Sephora Play Box! I do a whole series on the boxes HERE if you want to see what goodies I get every month. This gold serum makes the prettiest highlight ever but is also subtle.
- Bobbi Brown Mascara. I got this sample sized mascara in one of my Sephora Play Boxes and thought I would try it out. I have super short lashes but this stuff actually makes them look long and full! I will definitely be buying a full size when I run out!
