When August ends I always feel like it’s the end of summer, which is so sad. I’m about to wrap up my time here in Texas and will soon be packing up and going home. I had such an awesome summer and an amazing month! Here’s what I was loving in August:
Clothing
- Victoria’s Secret Longline Sports Bra. I have been searching for the perfect sports bra that can be worn as a top with high-waisted leggings. This one is everything I was looking for and more! It’s supportive enough to actually workout in and also cute enough to wear throughout the day.
- Outdoor Voices. I had never heard of the Outdoor Voices brand until I moved to Austin, and now I can’t get enough! They make athletic clothes similar to Lululemon and Athleta. Every one of their items that I own has proven to be super high quality and flattering.
- VS Pink Boyfriend Shorts. I literally lived in shorts this summer because it never gets under 100 degrees here. I really like how comfy these VS shorts are. I got a blush pink pair – they are also sort of high waisted which is nice for sucking everything in.
Beauty
- Vivo Per Lei Magnetic Face Mask. I was so excited to try this new face mask that Vivo Per Lei sent to me. It’s as cool as it sounds – you put the mask on and literally use a magnet to get the mask off. Not only is it super fun to put on (and take off), but it makes my skin feel amazing afterwards!
- Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Sunscreen. This summer has consisted of a lot of sunscreen, because my pale skin is not used to this hot Texas sun. This Neutrogena one is my all time favorite because it isn’t greasy and doesn’t cause breakouts.
- Bliss Fat Girl Scrub. I got this awhile ago at TJ Maxx and finally decided to try it out this summer. I have already used up the whole thing! It’s a thick salt scrub that has a subtle mint scent and does such an amazing job exfoliating my skin.
Miscellaneous
- Paper + Craft Pantry. I could not get enough of this store during my time in Austin. It’s the cutest little stationery/paper goods store I’ve ever stepped in to. I visited a few times during the summer and bought so many cute things!
- Yasso Party Animal Frozen Yogurt. I had a coupon for this so I decided to try it. I ate the whole pint in record time, it tasted just like a birthday cake!
- Shake Shack. The best of the best. Everyone knows I love cheeseburgers, and the Shake Shack burger sits at #1 on my favorite burger list. I love this place so much, and I’ll be sad when I leave Austin because I won’t have one right down the road.
