If you’ve been around for a while, you know that my go-to daily outfits are three things – comfortable, neutral, and casual. Beach vacations are a whole different ball game though. When I am on vacation, I like to mix it up a little with brighter colors and bold prints. I love planning out my outfits before a trip. Comfort is still my #1 priority, but I still want to look good in all of my vacation pictures! The Red Closet Shop was my go-to place to shop for outfits to take with me to Aruba last summer. THE LEOPARD MIDI SKIRT
Leopard has been in for months now, so I thought this leopard number would be the perfect thing to wear while exploring Aruba. The “Flawlessly Leopard Midi Skirt” by The Red Closet Shop comes in 3 shades of neutrals – Mocha, Grey, and Sand. I like them all, but I instantly fell in love with “Sand”!
I’m 5’6″, and I like to say I’m halfway in between tall and short. Even with a pretty average height, midi skirts can be a challenge! This one is the perfect length. It elongates my legs and hits my shin at the perfect spot. The buttery soft fabric made it an easy outfit choice for the day we drove around the island and took photos all day. It also has a slight slit on the side to add character. I seriously love this skirt so much – it was a major essential on my Aruba vacation!
This skirt looks perfect paired with a casual graphic tee, like my “Oh Hey Vacay” shirt from Old Navy. They have tons of cheap shirt options that look amazing with this skirt. I kept my vacation jewelry simple with my Kendra Scott Marisa Necklace, Kendra Scott hoop earrings, and Pandora ring. I topped off the look with my Steve Madden Kimmie Sandals.

THE OVERSIZED RAINBOW T-SHIRT
My favorite trend the summer was oversized t’s with biker shorts. Personally, I’m not the biggest fan of biker shorts on their own, but they make for the perfect summer-y look when they peek out under an oversized shirt. There are lots of oversized shirts out there, but they are not all made equally. I have never seen a cuter shirt – as soon as I saw this shirt (similar) by The Red Closet Shop, I knew I had to order it for my Aruba trip! The thick, rainbow stripes and oversized fit had me dreaming of the beach when I added it to my cart.
It doesn’t look like they have the oversized version in stock anymore, but The Red Closet Shop has it in a cropped version here! This would be super cute paired with a midi skirt or some jean shorts.
I paired my oversized tee with black biker shorts for the perfect beach day look. I wore my Birkenstocks while we got Acai bowls, and packed my swimsuit in my Zara woven purse (similar). One of the reasons I love this shirt so much is because it can be easily thrown over your swimsuit as a coverup when you’re leaving the beach for the day. It’s loose and flowy, and also super cute. This shirt just screams Aruba to me!

THE VERSATILE STRIPED SHIRT
There’s nothing I love more than a good basic piece like this shirt from The Red Closet Shop. I love this striped shirt so much because it sticks to my neutral roots but adds a fun twist with the offset stripes and seam down the middle. I styled mine with a flowy tiered skirt and my go-to Steve Madden Kimmie platform sandals. These fun pearl hairclips from Amazon were the perfect finishing touch!
This shirt takes comfort to a whole new level. The seam down the middle and back aren’t uncomfortable at all (something I was a little worried about). It’s made from a soft, breathable material. It runs a tad bit small, so I’d recommend sizing up! I’m wearing a size large.
The skirt I paired it with is from Amazon. I scoured the internet for months to find a skirt like this. I used to wear tiered skirts when I was a kid, and I felt like a black version of my childhood skirts would complete this outfit perfectly. The one I found on Amazon exceeded my expectations – it’s just as comfortable as the shirt, so this outfit is a no-brainer!
