What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the word “mom”? Do you think of your role as a mother to your own kids, your friends who are amazing moms, or being a mom to your future children? For me, like many, I think about my own mom and everything she’s given to me over the last 23 years. She’s not a regular mom, she’s a cool mom (name that movie)! Without a doubt, her love and support has shaped me into the person I am today. I am proud to call her my mom. I’m so excited to be partnering with Kendra Scott on this post to share my favorite way to show my mom how much I appreciate her – by treating her with all the gifts!
My mom has been my rock and my bff for pretty much my entire life. I know I’m lucky – there are so many people who aren’t fortunate enough to have a relationship like that with their mom. As I’ve aged, I’ve grown to appreciate our relationship even more. I’ve had a lot of ah-ha moments lately, where I’ve realized that my mom is right about almost everything (as much as I hate to admit it). She’s loved me through every high and low of life, through every bad hair color and every crazy dream. A mother’s love is something that’s hard to describe, and it’s even harder to find ways to sufficiently show her how much you appreciate her.
We’ve all seen the meme about wanting to buy your mom an island when you can barely afford a candle. That was so true for me when I was in high school and just starting college. I mean, I still can’t buy her an island at this point in life, but I am a lot more financially secure! Now that I’m slightly more of a grown-up, I am able to invest in more meaningful gifts for my mama.
These are some of my favorite items that I either own or are currently on my wish list:
